QUATRE

OH MON DIEU!
Le quatre saison du Gossip Girl sera tres scandaleux!

I'm very excited. When I first watched the 3rd season finale, I thought that the 4th season would be tres terrible! But I think I've just been proved wrong.

NOW FOR AN OUTFIT SHOWDOWN:
I've always loved to shop sales, and getting as much as I can out of my hard-earned money. These two outfit posts will show you what I mean...

Lace shirt: "Trendyland" brand from Winners... $14.99
Pastel skirt: vintage... borrowed from my mom
Cream heels: "Giani Bini" brand from Army & Navy... $39.00
Bag: "Mingpai" brand from somewhere in China... gifted
Star necklace: Crew Heaven facetrading... $5.00
Total outfit cost: $58.99

Striped tee: Smartset... $10.00
Pink cardigan: Old Navy... borrowed from mom
Skinny jeans: "Bongo" brand from Urban Planet... $29.00
Silver heels: "American Eagle" brand from Payless Shoesource... $19.00
Purse: Tommy Hilfiger... gifted
Chain necklace: Crew Heaven facetrading... $5.00
Total outfit cost: $63.00

Eh? Eh?
Am I good, or am I good?

Wait, no, the real question is:

Am I good or am I cheap?
(Or both?)

LOLZ.

Okay, peace out. <3
ps. You've probably noticed the major layout/blog change here, and how I'm posting a lot more than usual. I think it's for the better. I'm more focused on blogging now, and I think this will help me overcome some of the issues I'm dealing with. And it's helping me get ready for my future! I'm thinking of studying journalism in university now. Or even trying to go into the fashion or business industry. I figure I can narrow it down between these three choices by the time I graduate, haha.
Thanks for reading guys!

  3. Cute Cute shoes! I wish I could wear heels more, and even though I live in Los Angeles, it just doesn't fit to randomly walk around in heels :| I've got some cute cute ones, too!!

Oh, and the honey works AWESOMELY. :D

  4. i love the outfits, and those american eagle heels are brilliant! the outfit i am currently wearing cost me all of £10, because the t-shirt was free and so it's just the jeans :') i love feeling thrifty. but then i love feeling like i'm wearing something a little expensive, so it's a win/win!

  7. Oh my god, those heels are killer!!! And that lace top is totally making me jealous!!!

I loved that you always leave me personal comments so don't feel as if though you are hogging up all the space. I enjoy reading them a lot.

Being Chinese is difficult because my parents always give me a hard time about not being Chinese enough. I don't have any Asian friends and never do anything remotely "Asian" so I guess I am a bit of a "disgrace" to my race. But I try to be embrace my culture as much as possible by learning about it and partaking in festivals and such.

I hope you find the one you're looking for. I guess I'm just too cynical to want to rely on the thought that one day I will be matched with someone who is my perfect double. I commend your positive thinking though. Sometimes, I'm just not confident in the future of our species.

  8. That first outfit = AMAZING.

Also fashion, journalism and business seem like they could all be combined into one major. Or maybe I'm just weird.

  11. Okay, I like lists because they help me organize my thoughts, so, list it is.

    1. SUCH cute outfits; I've noticed your style is tending towards girly now; pretty!
    2. yuh. Okay. Those are cheap. BUT. I'm cheaper than you; so HA! HA! ;)
    3. I'm planning on pursuing journalism too! WHOOP for mutual careers! Also, you said you mgiht go to UBC, huh? Well, I'll be starting there in September!
    4. French! GAH, I wish I'd taken French 12, but I stopped in grade 11.
    5. I used to watch Gossip Girl RELIGIOUSLY. But stopped after the second season b/c I was too busy to keep up!

  14. OHMYGOODNESSSSS. How can you even ALLUDE to blonde boys being attractive?! NAASSTTAAYY. Haha.

Sleep schedules = fail. Probably because we're in our "teens". (Well, I guess I'm technically an adult now, but since I'm eighTEEN, I guess I'm still pretty young and hormonal. Or something.) Blllaaagghh. And don't worry, my mom gets mad at me for staying up late, too. The fact that I still actually GET 8 hours doesn't seem to resonate with her. :/

Oh, the dreaded emo phase. I remember all of my class wearing black with tons of eyeliner and listening to MCR and FOB nonstop. (I never really got the whole "scene" association with FOB though. Their music definitely doesn't fit. Maybe it's just because of Pete? Hmm.)

HST? GOD DAMN. I am so cheap. :( Maybe I'll have to scour some secondhand stores...

OMG YOUR LACE SHIRT/PASTEL SKIRT COMBO MAKES ME VOMIT HAPPINESS AND RAINBOWS. <3333 I wish I owned clothes that cool. Sadly, I look horrible in pastels, and lace itches me insanely. *tear* OHWOEIZME. You have awesome style! :)

I heart your blog changes! Spiffy. I need to work on mine a lotttt. Preferably before the insanity of packing up for university begins, because then it'll never get re-designed. Sigh. I'm worried about blogging once uni starts. I will continue to post, of course, but I don't know how frequent (or relevant) my blog will become. Sigh. Hmm......

I like the guest-blog idea thing, for sure. Drop me an email and we can talk about it! (I promise I'll actually check my email. =P )

  21. Ohjeez. We comment on each others' posts waaayyyy tooooo mmuuuccchhh.

HAHA. Totes kidding. I love it. :)

Okay, I guess you're right. Bad-ass blonde boys can be sexy. (Bad-ass ANYTHING is sexy.) But Pete Wentz, as bad-ass as he tried to be (and sometimes once was), married the most un-bad-ass person in the world and had a baby. Fail on his part. Instant un-sexy-ifier.

I guess we're both pretty cheap, huh? :/ Hmm. I really should shop around more for better deals. Lately I've been living in H&M. (I miss Urban Outfitters! But, alas, pricey. Sigh.)

I will definitely post more outfits! I just never think of it til I'm changed and all my makeup is washed off a night. Oops. I'll try to remember, just pour vous. ;)

Once a week is doable, for sure. Hopefully my room-mate doesn't think I'm crazy. Otherwise I'll have to be stealth about it.

    ...NOT!

  22. I used to stay up all the time to watch Gossip Girl (it's on late on the channels I have) but I started not being bothered to because I was annoyed how the story-line didn't follow the one in the book at all. But I guess that was just to keep the viewers attention because they would then know everything about what happens.

Anyway. I love you shoes (the ones in the last shoot) although I would never be brave enough to wear heels!

  26. haha, TRUE OCTOBER sounds like such a good clothing company name. Kind of reminds me of that "October Road" show that used to be on TV with the chick from That 70s Show...you remember that show? Yeah me either. What kind of stuff would you sell though?

Yeah I don't know what's up with me and talking to people at college. I've been here since Wednesday and I've barely talked to anyone. I think I'm terrified of other college students for some reason. Maybe I should transfer to NYU or Columbia or something so I can at least be around half my friends?

  28. i am ashamed to say i lied about my age to ebay. it's ok because i created a paypal account so any money i make goes in there and any money i spend comes from there. basically i've run out of money though so in order to buy anything on ebay i have to sell stuff on ebay and it's all separate :')
i'm glad you like the template! i'm still trying to figure out how to fix the banner though, gaaah.

  33. I felt the same way about the no stuff on the walls thing. The problem is that the lease says I can't affix stuff to the walls because if it damages the paint then I have to pay for it, and there is a bulletin board but I didn't realize there was one until I moved in, so I left all the posters I have on the walls of my closet at home. My mom didn't really let me put anything on the walls at home either.

I watched like one episode of that October Road show way back when I actually watched TV. It was kind of weird. Kind of that dreamlike filming I was talking about a while ago, and it was all Meaningful and stuff. That 70s Show is hilarious, even though I haven't watched it in YEARS. Total childhood flashback!

It's not that I'm afraid to talk to people in college, it's just that I don't know how to evolve randomly having a conversation with someone in class or whatever into friendship. I feel like this is a skill I should have learned when I was 5. But I had class with the same 25 or so people in all of elementary school, and then I went to a small high school (only like 200 people in my grade) and it was 7th through 12th grade so everyone was around the same people for 6 years, which is why I got to have a lot of really good friends from high school. At my college you'll talk to someone and then you won't see them around for weeks. And my major is huge so it's not like I even meet people from being in the same classes with them.

Your store idea sounds pretty interesting, especially marketing so many different things under one company name. Would it be like wack Forever 21 type of stuff though or just like normal stuff? Would you "be inspired" by designers?

Also about the whole thing with your mom...my mom totally used to try to stay up until I went to bed too, and bitch at me for staying up until 4 AM. Actually she still kind of does when I'm home but not as much. It's a parent thing. She probably feels weird that you're almost an adult and you're going off to college next year and she still wants to protect you.

  39. alsdjklajsdlj AW YEAH. I'm excited for Gossip Girl, too! (Okay, confession: I didn't finish season 3. BUT THAT'S BECAUSE I MISSED A FEW EPISODES AND TIMING GOT SCREWY BUT I'LL WATCH THEM THIS SUMMER.) (Another confession: I didn't read what you wrote under the video for fear that there would be spoilers! Hahaha. Yeah. I'm lame.)

I love the new layout. I love the looks. Especially the first one. So grandma chic. And I MEAN THAT IN THE BEST WAY POSSIBLE. Best way. POSSIBLE. Love it.

Oh, and I totally have the habit of (wow, I've never said that phrase before...) calculating the cost of my outfits. I FEEL HAPPY.
