Born in Nanjing, China, but raised by the wide blue skies that are bestowed upon every 21st century North American teen. My writing tends to fluctuate between depth to shallowness within the span of each post, and my photography is the result of my narcissism. My weapon of choice is a Nikon D3200 with a 35mm lens. Sometimes you'll like what I blog, other times you won't. I'm real, promise.
Why "Soyconfessions"?
S.C. are my first and last name initials. "Soymilk" was my username for almost everything online in Grade 10 (and my go-to drink of the morning), so I shortened it for my blog name.
Who really calls you "Mimi"?
My grandmother and my mother used to call me by that nickname. It was because when I was born, I was the same size as a tiny kitten.

Currently I'm a full-time Arts student at the University of British Columbia. I hope to do something I love one day, and be a positive contribution to society. I'll probably end up working 9-to-5 at an office job and writing sappy love stories in my spare time. I hope not.
I have multiple personalities. I like the rain here, but dislike being cold. I fall in love with ideas and art and people way too easily. I also hate a lot of things, like fruit with too many seeds, small talk, and scratchy comforters. And Captain Morgan. Especially after eating blueberry yogurt.
What's next?
The moon and the stars.
