Who am I?
I call Canada 'home', Vancouver 'inspirational', and Langley 'suburbia'. Born in Nanjing, China, but raised by the wide blue skies that are bestowed upon every North American teenager of the 21st century. I've got many interests (in fashion, photography, music, literature, etc.) which manifested into this blog. Sometimes, it is not all that interesting -- I'm still learning. My writing tends to fluctuate between depth to shallowness within the span of each post, and my photography is the result of my narcissism (i.e. expect tons of photos of MY FACE in yours). Sometimes you'll like what I blog, other times you won't. I'm real, promise.
Why "Soyconfessions"?
S.C. are my first and last name initials. It was a moment of creativity, I guess. "Soymilk" was my username for almost everything online in Grade 10 (and my go-to drink of the morning), so I shortened it for my blog name. Confessions... well, the words I write here are always from my heart, and yes, that sounded sappy to me as well.
Are you afraid of the dark?
Embarrassingly so. But the trick is... to sing a song while continuously moving through the dark. Never freeze up, or question what's behind you. Look forward.
What else?
I fall in love with ideas and art and people way too easily. I also hate a lot of things, like fruit with too many seeds, small talk, and scratchy comforters. And Captain Morgan. Especially after eating blueberry yogurt.
