HANAair hair dryer {review}

A big thanks to the wonderful team at Misikko.com (an online store that supplies salon-quality hair products and tools) for sending me the HANAair Professional Hair Dryer to review. I've been using this baby for the past 2 months, and my floormate has been doing so as well. We both love it. Though this product was a gift, the review is completely my personal opinion.
I definitely recommend purchasing this! My hair feels the difference between using this professional hair dryer and a drugstore-bought hair dryer.

The good stuff:
+ the hairdryer is sleek, sturdy, and durable
+ extremely long cord for mobility
+ 3 heat buttons (pictured below): hot heat, cool blast, and actual COLD shot!
+ hot and cool buttons come with 2 fan speeds, allowing for more control, and they are able to work together
+ comes with 2 year warranty
+ nozzle attachment is beneficial to hair and can smooth down flyaways, promoting healthy hair growth
+ cut my blow-drying time by half; takes only 6 minutes to dry my hair now

The bad:
- the pricing might be out of your budget!

This product is currently on sale for $195 (originally retails for $335) BUT I do believe it is worth every penny. And you guys know how frugal I am. This HANAair dryer is going to last for a long time and give me smooth, healthy hair in the long-run.

Misikko is not only known for this premier hair dryer, but for other products like flat irons and curling irons.
Not only did Misikko.com provide excellent customer service and quick delivery, they also added a bunch of little gifts to the package which was so thoughtful. Free extras include:
  • 2 full-sized bottles of Paul Mitchell "Extra-Body Daily Rinse" and "Extra-Body Daily Shampoo", 300 mL each (I Googled the products online and each bottle retails for around $12-$15)!
  • 59 mL bottle of Hana ShineShield serum
  • a bristle brush by Spornette
  • a travelling case for your flat iron
  • tons of nail files (I definitely need these; my nails break and become jagged so easily!)
  • 3 bottles of hand sanitizers, and hey, living in dorms makes hand sanitizers a necessity, I kid you not
  • a cute teddy bear holding flowers (pour moi?)
  • a sleep mask
Thank you once again, Misikko!

Have you tried any products from Misikko.com? Any questions or comments?

  1. ah cool I need a new hair dryer! mine kind of shocks me every time I unplug it! :\ I'm sure thats not good for me :P xoxo

  2. If I could marry a hairdryer I would marry this one. It's so shiny and pretty and black! My one takes about...half an hour to dry my hair and more often than not I just give up halfway through :P

  3. Hi! I`m redesigning blog pages(these few weeks for free)so if you are interested in getting fresh makeover please contact me on my email :) xoxo

  4. Grr.. lady, can't believe you left this in your dorm during Christmas. How could I miss out on using this baby?!! :D

I heard the Paul Mitchell products are awesome! Please please please review them as well. If they're amazing... I'll buy them after I use up all my hair products (sticking to my new year's resolutions!). LOL

Ps. isn't this semester a hell lot harder than the last? I'm sooo not taking summer school :(

  5. I tried out this hairdryer a while back ago as well and I'm still in love with it. Definitely the best hairdryer I've ever had.

And I'm still figuring out my after college plans (I'm slacking in that department). I'm aiming to find a decent job in NYC and rooming with one of my best friends. It's not going to be cheap so I've gotta save up!

  6. Oh, that seems like an actual proper and good hair-dryer! So fancy! It's so nice they send this to you as a gift to review! And the goodies seem quite alright too! :D

  8. I bought this dryer recently and found it to be okay but not amazing. Many reviews I read were from girls with pretty straight or wavy hair and as a curly haired girl I didn't find that it gave me results that were much better than my generic hair dryer. Also, the buttons are a pain and all the goodies I've seen in all the reviews were misleading as I received mostly junk. Still got frizz that I had to flatiron away. Overall, not worth shelling out the money. As a side note, it's not for lack of skill as I'm very good with a blowdryer. FYI I'm putting this comment on as many reviews as I can for all the other curly haired ladies who need to hear how it works on actual curly hair (waves don't count as curls!)

I'm creeping your comments... <3
